Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) said Sunday on CNN’s “State of the Union” that no member of the Democratic Party campaigned on “socialism or defunding the police in this general election.”

Ocasio-Cortez said, “I think one of the things that is very important is that is to realize that very effective Republican attacks are going to happen every cycle, so the question is how do we defend ourselves against that? If you look at some of these, you know, some of the arguments that are being advanced, that defund the police or arguments about socialism hurt, not a single member of Congress that I’m aware of campaigned on socialism or defunding the police in this general election.”

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (/ oʊ ˌ k ɑː s i oʊ k ɔːr ˈ t ɛ z /; Spanish: oˈkasjo koɾˈtes; born October 13, 1989), also known by her initials, AOC, is an American politician serving as. Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) said Sunday on CNN's 'State of the Union' that no member of the Democratic Party campaigned on 'socialism or defunding the police in this general election.'

She continued, “These were largely slogans, or they were demands from activist groups that we saw in the largest uprising in American history around police brutality. So the question we have is how can we build a more effective Democratic operations that is more stronger and more resilient to Republican attacks? I think many areas we can point out in centralized Democratic operations that are extraordinarily weak. For example, our digital campaigning is very weak. This is an area where Republicans are actually quite strong. You know, President Trump, he won the 2016 election as we know largely on digital organizing and strategy. I believe that many Republicans were very effective at digital organizing strategy as well, whereas the Democratic Party is still campaigning largely as though it’s 2005, and that was 15 years ago. We can do better. When we really dig down and refine our operations, we can be more resilient to these strong Republican attacks.”

Just three days after liberal New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez urged the creation of a list of President Trump’s “sycophants,” a top CNN host has piled on with a warning that Trump aides battling the president’s legal case could see their job possibilities dry up.

Jake Tapper even suggested that sticking with Trump’s legal fight could be seen as a character flaw that future employers would reject.

“I truly sympathize with those dealing with losing — it’s not easy — but at a certain point one has to think not only about what’s best for the nation (peaceful transfer of power) but how any future employers might see your character defined during adversity,” he tweeted.

2/ I mean, I don’t expect the ride-or-die crew to listen to me, but ...

“So, it says here on your resume that you drove a sex offender to testify at Four Seasons Total Landscaping, north of the Tacony-Palmyra bridge...”

Tapper added, “2/ I mean, I don’t expect the ride-or-die crew to listen to me, but … ‘So, it says here on your resume that you drove a sex offender to testify at Four Seasons Total Landscaping, north of the Tacony-Palmyra bridge…’”

The comment was met with shock by several inside the administration and on Twitter who saw it as a not-so-subtle threat to accept the unofficial results of the race or forget about a good future job.

Still, he stuck with it, though he added this when it was suggested he was too harsh. “I agree with that 100%. But read the next tweet in the thread — I’m talking about professional actions that go well beyond reasonable legal challenges or actions or due diligence and into the land of the wild and unhinged,” he tweeted.

The attacks on the Trump team have been adding up and include Ocasio-Cortez’s call to have pro-Trump tweets archived.

To some insiders, the attacks have emboldened their campaign to find examples of ballot and voting fraud.

Still, it is true that for many inside the administration, finding a job will be difficult, no matter what. There are about 4,000 administration-related jobs, and those will go to Biden. While there are a few new Republican congressional members, it isn’t enough to absorb all those positions.
