FYI for those who are playing this machine:
The 'one away' (the 15th space on the Bonus round) is actually the virtual reel where many will be left with after the 14th space is filled. On each Lightning Round bonus spins there is always one of the 15 slot spaces that has the virtual reel on it on each spin. I do not have the math stats on it, but it many have hundreds/thousands of blank spaces with only one 'amount' chip scrolling at the same speed as the other reels for the 'Grand Jackpot'. My eye has actually never seen the 15th virtual reel chip space scroll by, but I am sure its there.
Never fear, there is also an 'instant' win feature for the Lightning Link Grand Jackpot where you will just be awarded the Grand Jackpot after the conclusion of any spin without even being in the bonus round.

My hat is off to the folks at Aristocrat for the innovative Lightning Link series which has hypnotized me as well as legions of others around the globe.
I'm limited at my local to just 2 variations, High Stakes ( My Go to weekly ), and Happy Lantern.
I'm curious about different discoveries you have made playing the various Lightning Links games that you can share with us.

Last Thursday, Playing High Stakes, I had back to back wins of 5 Golden Suitcases, which pay 100x your wager, which was fantastic.
A while ago my Daughter got what we call a ' Hat Trick ', getting a Mini, a Minor, and a Major, all together in a Lightning Round.
I've found $.50 x 2 , and $ 1.50 x 1 wagers to be my ' sweet spots ' for coaxing out the Lightning Strikes .
I'm convinced that always trying to play the machine with the highest posted MAJOR jackpot has helped me win it 6 times now.
